Hi, I am a new new member this is my very first reply to anyone, you all sound so knowledgeable it makes me feel so inadequate, the problem with my notepad is it just will not start, it shows my desktop picture and that is all, i can hear it working inside but nothing happens when i press any keys.
I am using a Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit Samsung Notepad N150 Plus.
My troubles began yesterday when I tried to delete 128 old emails that i had imported from A.O.L. I use Gmail, the moment I pressed delete the screen went blank, I use Avast anti virus so I am well protected.
I have a Samsung DVD recovery media disc, but of course the notepad will only take a USB Stick, so I put the disc into my Toshiba Vista Laptop satellite L300 and then inserted a Memory stick and transferred the data to the stick, then tried it in my notepad, but alas no joy.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE.

Hello mig2 and welcome to Seven Forums.

So if I'm understanding things, you can't boot your N150. At this point, you just want it fixed so you can use the computer again. One of our resident experts has prepared a troubleshooting guide to help fix failure to boot issues.

   Warning
Many things can cause a failure to boot. The troubleshooting guide was prepared in a logical sequence of steps. It will be time consuming but if the steps aren't followed as presented one could easily overlook a basic problem and solution.

Another possible solution if you don't want to take the time to follow the troubleshooting guide is to restore your machine to factory specs. As soon as you turn on the netbook immediately start clicking the F4 key. This should take you to a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive. Everything on the hard drive will be erased. If the netbook originally came with 7 Starter edition, that's what it will restore to.

If the failure to boot is a hardware failure issue, the troubleshooting guide and factory restore probably won't help.
