Missing inf file

every-time i try to install the ATI catalyst driver, this error would come up "INF FILE IS MISSING" i downloaded a software that removes all of the ATI drivers and files, i used it to re-install the latest driver, people say this might be the source to the problem because these type of software tend to delete to much.
OS: Window 7 64 BIT
Graphic: Ati radeon 5970
Processor: Intel i7 920
PSU: 1200 WATT
Ram: 6gb 1333mhz

DO you have the newest driver installation?
You may want to try and download the driver again and install it in safe mode.

Most gpu driver packages come complete and you shouldnt be seeing that error.
