Missing internet listing on start screen

When I click on Start on my Windows7 desktop computer (Professional) there is a "choice" under the icon for that computer that reads "internet". When I click on Start on my Windows7 laptop computer, (Home Edition) there is no such choice listed. I have both on a shared Homegroup with the same workgroup name. Any I idea how to correct this? Thanks

Drag the shortcut to your web browser into the top portion of the start menu and rename the shortcut to Internet. Voila.

Use the Group Policy Editor. I have Home premium so I can't post screenshots:

Start> Type gpedit.msc in the search box> Click on gpedit.msc in results

When you get to the Local Policy Group Editor window , navigate to this folder:

User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Start Menu and Taskbar

Double-click the Add Search Internet Link to Start Menu entry to get to the proper screen.

On the Add Search Internet Link to Start Menu configuration screen , click the Enabled radio button and then click Apply and OK.

The next time you conduct a search from the Start Menu you will have the option of applying those search terms to your default search engine in Internet Explorer.

Sorry, I should read better, I saw you had Pro in your system specs. I see the laptop has Home

Sorry, my bad. The word should have been "network", not internet. I would hope to show my network by
clicking on that, as I can on the desktop PC.

Right click on the side panel in the start menu (in an empty space). Hit Properties. The "Start Menu" tab should be opened. Click "Customize". Scroll down and put a check next to "Network".
