missing my list of favorites

i am having a problem i used to have a laptop before with just windows 7 then got windows 8 now i have a laptop with windows 10 and i am missing my list of favorites i saved in the favorites file, i had to reset the laptop and i clicked on save my personal files and stuff and backup too, but its weird i cant find my favorites i saved in the favorites its not showing it there its missing.. the favorites file shows up in task bar on top with 3 pane lines but nothing comes up in files, i am hoping the reset did not erase it because those were very important stuff in there what do i do to find it

Which browser did you use? Did you go through the prescribed export procedure in order to write your favorites to a file, or did you simply tell the computer to save your personal files?

If you did a backup of your computer before doing the reset, then you could do the following:
1. Backup your current system.
2. Restore the old backup.
3. Export your favorites to your backup drive.
4. Restore the current backup.

Your favorites will now be available to import into your current system.

i had it backed up and i clicked save personal files and did backup there i did not use other one saying delete all so even though its missing i saved alot of favorites i clicked on from websites and put it there, this is crazy i wish i had someone who had remote access who come online while i am on here to help me find it i dont know nothing about windows 10 this is all different then windows 7 or 8
