I'm running Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. The factory install on my HP x16t-1200 laptop was Vista 64-bit. Not sure if it happened when I upgraded OS's a year or more ago, but for quite awhile I have had no power icon in my icon tray. If i go into wher eyou can turn icons on and off, the power icon is off and greyed out. I've tried multiple versions of BIOS, multiple intel chipsets, and I've tried deleting the traynotify reg keys. Nothing has worked. In addition I don;t have the option in power options to control what happens when i close the lid. Option just simply isn't there like if i was on a desktop instead of a laptop. Help! I regularly use to hibernate by closing lid, and it is very difficult to use hte laptop without it pluggged in if I can;t see how much battery is left. I tried in the HP forum and technet forum with no success to get help, so hopefully you guys on here can be more useful
Thanks,
Mark
