I just installed 64-bit and I'm looking to get some more ram. I currently have 4GB of DDR2 800 OCZ platinum XTC (2x2GB) with timings of 4-5-4-15. The problem is I can't find this ram anymore. Would it be okay if I got more ram with different timings and mixed the ram I have with the new stuff?

Mix matching Ram is never a good idea. If you can't find that exact Ram, you need to either buy Ram with the same speeds and the same timings or just get 2 sets of matched pairs. Otherwise you can run into all kinds of problem one being a no boot situation.

If the Ram is of the same speed you can "sometimes" get away with mixing it but it is never a goos idea, and you can't expect the best performance form your system doing it that way.

As already mentioned, it might work if you find RAM with the same timings and voltages, it is a risk and might not run well on your system.

Best to buy a complete new set and try to sell the old RAM.
