Monitor Camera & USB´s no longer working on emachines E732Z

I recently upgraded the OS on my laptop Emachines E732Z to Windows 7 Ultimate, the problem is that since the upgrade
two of my usb ports are no longer working & neither is the built in monitor camera.
I have attempted to install updated drivers for the camera but receive the message that no camera is installed & to please check that it is plugged in ( which it should be as the monitor still works) as for the USB ports the two on the right side of the machine appear not to be installed but the one on the left is working fine.....
Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be ??????

Hello smackemback66. Welcome to the Forum.

I am going to guess that this has to do with the chipset or webcam driver not being fully compatible with W7.
I'm guessing that there was not a W7 driver to download for your laptop?
Did you install a Vista driver in compatibility mode?

Looking at the specs sheet from emachines, it looks like it came with windows 7 (basic, home premium). Have you installed the webcam software from the driver/suppot page of the website?

There also a few BIOS updates for some specfic problems... an update of the bios might be an option as well.
