I have the monitor set to never go into sleep mode in power options, but it still shuts off after about 10 minutes. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I have checked all the settings, if there is no activity the monitor will go into sleep mode in about 10 mins. As soon as I move the mouse it will wake up. I also checked the settings on the monitor and there is no auto sleep provision. Thanks. Stream.

Problem solved. My monitor has what is called eco-mode which automatically cuts the power from 37 watts to 7 watts, and it can not be turned off. The monitor is a viewsonic VX2433WM. Thanks richc46 for your post.

Glad that I could help. Its ironic, your problem was actually a feature that you paid for. Enjoy, Seven.
