Hi, I have windows 7 pro, with a GeForce 210 graphics card and a I-Inc iH252 monitor.

First issue was waking up in the morning to find out that the new windows updates had wiped the C drive clean and started over again. I have got most of it back to normal, but the monitor went dim after it was untouched for a few minutes, and now it won't brighten back up. I have checked the power setting but there is no option about dimming, just about shutting the monitor off after a certain amount of time.

I have also check the Nvidia Control Panel, but there doesn't seem to be anything there about dimming either.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

Not likely caused by Windows Update or else there would be millions of users complaining about that. So something else happened at about the same time.

You first need to swap that monitor out with another monitor (or TV that supports computer input) to determine if this is a problem with your computer, or the monitor.
