I recently purchased a 20 meter cable for my Dell e1910h monitor. This is a VGA cable. When connected to the 20m cable Windows 7 recognizes it as a generic monitor. This would be fine but the monitor needs to display 1366x768 for the picture to not be distorted. 1366x768 is not an option. 1360x768 is an option but the monitor goes black when I select that. When I connect it to the 1 meter cable I had been using it is detected properly and I can change the display to 1366x768. I have all drivers installed. What I can't figure out is why it isn't detected properly on a longer cable. Thanks in advance.
