Hi, last night my computer locked-up on turning off, so today I turned on ready to do a systems restore. I know I've done quite a few restore points lately, but imagine my horror when I found all but one had disappeared! Yep, something had deleted all but one restore point! It's not the first time this has happened either. It seems to have been happening ever since I installed Norton 2011. It never happened when I had Norton 360 installed.
Also, this is another bug I've always had trouble with. It's always been hit or miss whether systems restore will fully work, even when using Safe Mode. When it doesn't work I always get the message that the restore has failed to work completely because there's been an unexpected error and the same error code: (0xC0000022)
Normally this wouldn't be much of a problem 'cause I normally juggle around the restore points until it works, but I find it never works if all I've got is one restore point.
Even with the error I find that it does register as a systems restore and that at least some things have been set back. Any ideas as to what could be both deleting my restore points and what the error is, and maybe how I can correct the error?
