So for the past 2-3 weeks, my PC has not been powering on. At first, this was only occasional and did not happen every day. But now, my PC has power to the mobo and won't turn on when I push the on button on my case. Rarely, if I keep the motherboard powered, the PC will just turn on by itself at random times, and the problem would be resolved until the PC goes to sleep for a long period of time, but recently this never happens. And when the mobo powers on, I get no kind of input and no beeps or anything. I assume this has to do with the power supply since everything else seems to be working in check, any kind of help would do.

I would suspect that your motherboard has bit the dust then.

Strange, but as I stated about how it would turn on at random times, it just happened right now. But if I turn off the pc or let it sleep for a while it wont show display or anything. More on the post-beep of the pc had a extra short beep with it.

Had same problem a couple of years ago. Was a bad video card (over heated, neglected cleaning) telling the PSU to cut output.

It can be many things.
- The power supply has many supply voltages. One of them can be failing.
- It can be the switch, but don't think it is.
- It can be the video card.
- It can be the MB or CPU.

Try to make it simple.
- Disconnect all HDD
- Take the graphics card and use internal graphics.
- Take out the case front connector from MB and try start by shorting the pins.
