Solved Motherboard Question

I had 2 identical Lenovo desktop computers. One desktop has Windows 7 - 64. The second one has the motherboard from an identical lenovo desktop installed in a tower case. If I move the hard drive from the desktop to the tower, will Windows 7 detect the change?
