Mouse lag issue.

I have the latest drivers.
My mouse is the Razer Naga (Wired).

Problem:
When it goes through it's lag spiking period, everything else is running smoothly whether it be in game or just browsing the internet. During this lag spiking period the mouse stops for a random amount of time (ranging from 0.75-2.0 seconds) and if I keep moving my mouse it'll try to remember where I've been moving my mouse then attempt to re-trace the steps it took which really irritates me. I wouldn't care as much if it just stopped then worked again, but the fact it tries to move after the lag-spike is a problem.

PC:
CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i7-2600 3.40 GHz 8M Intel Smart Cache LGA1155
HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)
MEMORY: 16GB (4GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory
OS: Windows 7 - completely up-to-date

Thank you, and if you have any questions I'll be lurking the thread 24/7 so expect a prompt answer.

You say you have the latest drivers. Have you completely uninstalled them and then reinstalled? How long has this been happening, just recently or since you've had the mouse? If just started, have you tried a system restore to a point before? Does this happen ALL the time or does it act normally at times too?

Also, have you tried using the mouse on a different computer? If so, did it have the same behavior?

Yes, I have uninstalled them and reinstalled the drivers. This has been happening for a while, before and after I reformatted my computer (I reinstalled windows). This happens periodically, no guessing when it'll happen. I haven't tried using the mouse on a different computer yet. I'll try using a different mouse on the computer I'm currently using and see if it happens again anytime soon.

Worth trying, that way we could rule out hardware problems. Loose connector etc. Keep us posted and we'll go from there! ( You could always run an sfc/scannow to check for corrupted files but I don't think its that. : http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Oh, pardon me....... welcome to the forums!

Thanks, I'm going to give my computer a stress test to induce the lag and see if it still gives me that weird mouse tracking with a different mouse.

EDIT: Okay... Well I did the test all 8 of my cores were maxed out, mouse was tracking fine (With the Naga).
