Does anyone know how the mouse sensitivity can change without any settings being changed on the mouse or in control panel?

What kind of mouse is it? Some Logitech gaming mice can change their sensitivity by touching a button on the mouse, for example.

I remember that happened to me once, and it was a cat hair stuck in the laser.

The mouse is clean with no hair or dirt as well as the surface and no settings were changed in control panel. The sensitivity was lower by one of the slider boxes.
