Hi,

I am currently having a custom desktop pc with two 500gb hdds(5400 rpm each). One of them contains my windows installation.
In my windows partition all the folder/files except {Program Files, Program Files(x86) and Users} have a total size of 63GB. So my idea is to buy a 64gb ssd drive, which will contain everything except {Program Files, Program Files(x86) and Users} and keep these folders to the hdd. Will this have any positive effect on my performance or not, and if yes can anybody guide me how to change the environmental variables to point to the folders on the hdd drive from the ssd?

Go with a 128GB SSD and keep everything on it or move just the Users directory to one of the HDDs. You will get much better performance if all executables are on the SSD.
