Solved movie maker is everywhere !

I recently downloaded avast free antivirus & since then every time I switch computer on the MM comes on, also every time I click to open another program I only get MM.
Help please ...................................

Download the registry entries for EXE and LNK. Merge them two.
Does it make the situation normal?

The blue text is a link to instruction to do what Arc said. You will download two files, one for .exe and one for .lnk (LNK)

Very many thanks - I clicked on the link & followed instructions & hey presto, all is back to normal !
would be interested to know if this was a problem of incompatibility between avast a movie maker or something else.

I'm happy to hear that you got it sorted.

This was an issue of those file types being associated with the incorrect default program or protocol to open them with.

There are many things that could cause this. One is using "Open with" or Default Programs, and accidentally selecting the wrong program. It's a common mistake, and luckily easily fixed.
