Moving Outlook pop/smtp settings to another computer (beyond PST)

When migrating email/contacts etc, I have frequently moved Outlook PST files from one computer to anohter- not a problem, but I always have to manuually re-enter the email account settins ( email address, reply to, POP/SMTP setting apasswords etc). Tat is moving the PST file is fine, and I can easily set it up udner Accounts Settings/Data File tab ..... but the Account Settings/Email tab is empty. So I enter it manually.

About to other move, , moving from Outlook 2003 on my XP machine to Outlook 2010 on Windows 7. Is there a way to move the settings as well, or must they be manaully entered?

Starting with Outlook 2007, there's no natively supported method of exporting/importing email account settings, such as username, password, POP3 account name, etc. There are some Outlook registry export/import trick that can help, but not with the passwords. I've tried Outlook migration from 2007 to 2010 with the registry trick, but it didn't work and ended up entering the account settings manually through the wizzard pages...

You can go to your documents folder and look for the outlook folder and save that folder to a usb drive. The when the new outlook is installed, just move folder from usb drive into the same folder as before....then open out outlook....every thing should be there.

Exactly what I have concluded as well. All the references to being able to migrate "everything", simpy refers to the PST file, which is "almost everything"' ie its still missing the email settings. As noted, those need to be re-entered manually..
