Moving Pictures to new HD on fresh install, incorrect permissions

I recently upgraded my motherboard. In doing so I also ended up getting a new SSD and doing a fresh install of Windows. The SSD runs the OS and all applications and my hard drive holds all the user data. While installing I followed the same procedure where I put the user folder on the hard drive rather than the SSD. So now I ended up with two user folders - one from the new install and the original one where my files where currently living. I planned on copying the files from the old to the new. And I have been able to do that pretty well, I haven't had any problems with my music or documents, but with pictures I keep getting error messages saying I don't have the correct permissions to view them, specifically, "Windows Photo View can't open this picture because you don't have the correct permissions to access the file location. In the properties of the whole hard drive, picture folder, and on pictures themselves, I have given myself full permissions, but still get the same error. When editing permissions there are permissions for SYSTEM, Account Unknown, and Administrators. All users here have full permissions.

Does anyone have any idea how I could get access to the file location/obtain the correct permissions in order to view these pictures again?

Thanks in advance!
