MP3 Editing Problems

I've got music files which I want to transfer onto my new colour Sony MP3 Player. Trouble is, I find it almost impossible to edit the details on the blasted things so I get them into the right categories and have the album art on screen. WMP seems to be hit or miss, and Roxio's absolutely useless. Every time I try to edit the details through Roxio it changes right back to the original details again! WMP is a tad more reliable, but not much. So, anyone know of an easy way to edit the details (artist, album cover, genre etc.) on MP3 files? Believe it or not but it was much easier when I was using Sonic Stage for my old player.

So what are you looking for ? software to tag them correctly?
I use Tag&Rename....there is non better IMHO but it's not free.
In the free dept. you might want to look into MP3 TagTools or, s/th more powerful:

If it's only about 4 or 5 songs..rightclick, go to Properties/Details and simply hand edit them.

this is the software you need ,just navigate to the root folderselect it will load into mp3tag , highlight the tracks and edit the way you want then save .its that easy

The one that "boohbah" recommended is the one I use (mp3tag). It works great and it has the ability of adding a "right click" feature into explorer (file manager) so you can do a right click on a song or album for editing. And, the good thing is it is "FREE."

Hi there
I use this one myself -- very simple and it's ALWAYS worked for me too

I often download some old BBC vintage science fiction Audio -- this often is missing the Album name and sometimes has duplicate track numbers (or none).

Easily fixed with the above program
