Solved MSE turned off Windows Defender

My question is whether or not this is normal. More importantly, is it safe? Should I turn Defender back on manually or use just MSE?

MSE always turns off Defender. That way both are not running together.

This is normal and nothing new. Disconcerting the first time you notice it. ;)
