MSE Updates for win 7

I'm still using win 7 64 bit. When I use check for updates, it doesnt seem to have installed anything since feb 2025. But MSE says its uptodate as of today. I have updates set to prompt me for whether i want to install. But it didnt even inform me there were new ones.

MSE seems to have an antimalware prog included, is it effective? cos it certainly uses a lot of memory when it runs and makes the cp run slow.

when i did a manual check, i got an error code WindowsUpdate_80072EFD, but it might be becos internet connection broke, which happens very frequently nowadays.

thanks

Kerica
