Hi guys.

Having been spectator of this twice, I can say that this is worth a warning.

WHAT IS IT

At first, it may not sound nothing too serious : Someone added you in his/her MSN and MSN sends you its pop-up about it. You accept.

WHAT DOES THE CONTACT DO?

At first, it will start a simple "hi" then asks you "How are you". Nothing out of the ordinary at this point. Then it presents itself. It WILL ALWAYS be a woman's name. Always.

Also, it will ignore anything you say. Anything. At this point, if it was someone real, it would have answered, right?

After that, it offers cyber-3timesX (webcams) and finally posts a link to some 3timesX site...

At this point, you want to ditch the contact

WHAT DO YOU DO

Simple. First, ask questions like "Where did you get my MSN info?" Insist. If it goes no where (no answers), don't click the links, close the conversation and delete&ban contact.

RISKS
Credit card fraud, identity thetfs, computer viruses & trojans may lead ahead.

WHERE DID THEY GET MY E-MAIL

Probably from e-mail scanning robots and then, those who run the MSN robots bought the list to try to attract men to those sites.

EXEMPLE
Code:
(04:18) Deon : hi
(04:18) Lebon14 : hi
(04:18) Deon : hi how are you today?
(04:18) Lebon14 : who are you? where did you get my e-mail?
(04:18) Deon : my name is kaylee I'm doing great today I'm 21
yrs old how old are you?
(04:18) Lebon14 : 22
(04:18) Lebon14 : Answer my question.
(04:19) Deon : listen hun, I am just about to start my
webcam show with jen, come chat me there in
my chat room? We can cyber, I will get n***d if u do..lol!
(04:19) Lebon14 : Where did you get my e-mail?
(04:19) Deon : I can show u how to watch free if u promise
not to tell anyone else how to do it???PLEASE:-$
(04:19) Lebon14 : I'm going to disappoint you : I don't have a webcam.
(04:20) Lebon14 : WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET MY E-MAIL
(04:20) Deon : well since its free the law that u gotta be 18 (nudity
involved), u have to sign up with a credit card for age verification! BUT ..
Once you are inside, just clikc on "Webcams" let me know what
name you use to sign in with so I know it is you babe!
http://www.***.com/vicky fill out the bottom of the page then fill
out the next page as well and u can see me live for free!
(04:20) Lebon14 : SCAM AHOY.
(04:20) Lebon14 : BANNED.

I've hidden the website and censored a word (although it can be easily guessed).

Hope this highlight anyone with this type of attack.

It's an MSN virus. If you clicked on the link, your MSN will be infected too and send out that malicious link to your friends. Couple of my friends got it last year. This few days i also got a few MSN invites from unknown emails, i just ignore them. ;)

An antivirus, firewall, and malware protection is only half the battle; a little common sense goes a long way to ensure protection. I would suggest, just to ignore what seems suspicious.
