hi all i am facing problem during installation of drivers for Samsung galaxy S2 Model SGH-T989D.it gives the error that MTP Failed and it wont connect to the laptop while useing software KIES Samsung. please help me out

I don't care for the nature of the Kies software, although it did seem to work for my Galaxy S4 to make it visible to my desktop PC.
But I didn't bother installing it on my laptop. Instead I used PdaNet+ for Android. Works perfectly, and allows the phone to be handled very simply by Windows Explorer (rather than something like intrusive Kies software).
Also, PdaNet+ and FoxFi allows my S4 and laptop to run in "USB tethered mode" without having to pay Sprint monthly for WiFi capability.
