Multimedia Class Scheduler Question(s)

I understand that audio services are dependent on Multimedia Class Scheduler. But, why the heck does it start and stop all so often when my system is idle??? Also, it starts when I turn off my printer?! I have a sound play for the Open Program event in my sound scheme. There are times, when my system is idle, that it starts and stops 2 or 3 times an hour. I know because I see this in Administrator Tools Events.

Can anyone explain this please?

It may have something to do with the shared IRQ. Sound is usually (all cases that I've seen) on a shared IRQ with a higher priority device (audio is considered a low priority device). If the higher priority device goes active it may cause the scheduler functions.

Why does it start and stop do often?
Why does it get triggered when I turn off my printer.

It's not doing it on my PC. You haven't filled out the "My System Specs" which could help someone help you.
Also post what is on the shared IRQ that your sound is on.

BTW, this is more a software/system issue not really a "sound and audio" issue (this section). Reposting on one of the more applicable forum sections may get you the answer.
