I have an audio problem. My Audio service isn't started. In order to do that 3 other services need to be started. I've checked those: only Multimedia Class Scheduler isn't started. When I want to do that manually, it gives an error saying he can't find the file....

Does anyone know what to do, or which file I might need?

Open an elevated command prompt, then type the following, or copy and paste:

sfc /scannow

That should replace the missing file if it is indeed missing.

It is also possible to run audio without the mutimedia class scheduler active at all. Here's how:

Go into regedit, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Audiosrv
and in the DependOnService remove all entries except RpcSs and then restart your computer.

I tried both options; none of them worked :(. I still get the missing-file error, and in the second solution the audio service still won't start.
