While using Excel and Teamviewer suddenly had BSOD with Kernel Data In page Error.
Restarted Computer and BSOD Known Dll etc appeared. Restarted from last known and was able to get to desktop but then BSOD appeared after 3 minutes Bad system Config info. Subsequently unable to reboot x 4, each reboot ended up with BSOD 0x000000F4 and 0X00000074. as starting windows color screen would come up
Tried safe mode stuck on aswardisk.sys as that would NOT load..
Removed hard drive (Samsung SSD) mounted to my win 10 laptop via USB, and ran chkdsk, found two lost files which were repaired, and now able to restart computer. Computer seems to be running fine no BSOD for over 4 hours!
I am curious what may have precipitated this. NO power failure no sudden restart of omputer, no recent new software or hardware change. I do believe there may have been a windows update being applied just before this happened. I did not recall opening windows update window to install updates.
I am not well versed on BSOD (and the technical terms, hope the above info makes sense, I had written down notes as the BSOD's were occuring) and I am hoping someone can shed some light as to what may have happened.
Thank you!
