Multiple BSOD, Clean windows System_Service_Exception ntoskrnl+7c1e9?

Hello,

I have been having multiple BSOD on my PC for a while. I re-installed windows, but am still having problems.

I get random BSOD when using the computer. It seems to not matter what I am doing or how long the computer has been on.

Last night I ran memtest86 for 12 hours and got 0 errors and 6 passes. I have tried everything I can think of, but I out of ideas. Any help would be much appreciated.

Perfmon shows that drivers haven't been installed for your USB controllers. Please install the drivers for the Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller by NEC Electronics. The driver should be available at the mobo manufacturer's support/download website.

Only 56 Windows Updates since SP1 - most systems have 65 or more. Please check to make sure that you have all Windows Updates.

This is most likely a hardware error. I didn't see signs of compatibility issues, low-level driver problems, or malware when looking at the memory dumps (they are other possibilities for this pattern) - so I'd suggest that you do the following:

I found and installed the USB drivers, and finished windows updates. I think they were all not finished because I just re-installed windows yesterday. I will let you know if you I have any more issues. Also, I will start doing your troubleshooting tests.

I have updated windows and tested all of the memory, which passed with no errors. I am having trouble testing the HDDs and the SSD, however. I have 2 samsung HDD, but the Samsung site says that everything is Seagate now, but when I run Seatools, it doesn't detect any HDD. My SSD is an OCX Vertex 3, but I have been unable to find diagnostic tools for it. I am still having issues and getting multiple BSOD most days. What should i try next?

Here's what little info I have on SSD's:

There's not a whole bunch available to test SSD's. The "easiest" test is to remove the SSD, install a platter-based hard drive, install Windows and test for stability that way.

Here's some suggestions:
- Update the SSD's firmware to the latest available version (VERY IMPORTANT!!!)
- Slow the memory (RAM) down to the next slower speed (I've only seen one person who claimed that this worked for them).
- Use any manufacturer's utilities that you may have. If you don't have any, then try this free one (I haven't used it myself): Crystal Dew World
- Update chipset and storage controller drivers to the latest available from the manufacturer of the device (not the manufacturer of the motherboard). Be sure to update ALL controllers on the motherboard!
....NOTE: Recently (Nov 2011) we had BSOD issues with the Marvell 91xx controller and an SSD. You may have to switch controllers also.-
Replace the SSD with a platter based hard drive and see if that stops the BSOD's. If it does, then it's likely that there's a problem with the SSD OR an incompatibility with your system.
It's my opinion that SSD's aren't reliable enough (with current hardware) to be used on a system that needs to work reliably. Until I see reliability I will not recommend, nor will I use, SSD's for critical applications.

What are the exact error messages you get when trying to run SeaTools on the Samsung drives?
What were the results from Furmark and Prime95?

Seatools didn't give an error message, but said that there were no drives detected and to check cables if I thought that there should be some. Which I did and they are connected, but I still have the same problem.

As for Furmark and Prime95 I have previously run both tests with no errors, but I ran them after your first post, with the same results.

My SSD has the newest firmware version (I checked that already). And I am going to start with the Crystal Dew tool now.

I don't know anything about the chipset and storage control drivers, would these be found from the SSD manufacturer?

chipset and storage control drivers are from the manufacturer of the chipset on the motherboard and from the manufacturer of the storage controller on the motherboard.

Let us know the make and model of your motherboard (or of the system if it's an OEM system) and we'll figure that out.

It's unusual for Seatools not to detect the drive. Some folks at work change the controller mode from ATA to AHCI and find that the disk is recognized that way. I prefer to use a tool similar to the Ultimate Boot Cd (free from here: Ultimate Boot CD - Overview ) to run the hard drive test - or you can run it from within Windows with the Seatools for Windows program.

Also, try other tools to see if they recognize the hard drive.

My motherboard is an MSI P67A-GD55 (B3)

I already have the drives in AHCI, and seatools doesn't recognize the drives.

Also, I re-installed Windows on to an HDD instead of the SSD and it has been working without problems for about 4 days now.

IMO it's most likely a controller issue - the controller on the motherboard doesn't recognize the SSD.
Maybe a chipset/storage controller driver update from the Intel download site ( http://downloadcenter.intel.com )?

I spoke too soon, when I shutdown my PC last night, right after I made my last post, I got another BSOD. Also, I have had several today. I'm not sure what is wrong since the SSD isn't even connected to the system anymore.

3RD PARTY DRIVERS PRESENT IN THE DUMP FILES
- Create a System Restore Point prior to doing any of this. DO NOT mess with the drivers themselves - leave the Windows\System32\drivers directory alone unless we specifically direct you to it!
- Please either update the older drivers from the device manufacturer's website - or uninstall them from your system. Reference links are included below.
- DO NOT use Windows Update or the Update Drivers function of Device Manager.
- Please feel free to post back about any drivers that you are having difficulty locating.
- Windows Update exceptions may be noted below for Windows drivers.
