Hi my first post here

my PC is constantly crashing and I am getting BSOD I have run a Ram test and it says it is fine also I have installed new drivers for everything I can think of.

I have had loads of errors reported in event viewer from bug check 0x0000003b to event 41 and others

I am at the end of my tether with this! Please help!

s Windows 7 . . .
-x64
- the original installed OS on the system? NO it was Vista
- an OEM or full retail version? OEM and Official MS upgrade disk to make it WIn 7

- What is the age of system (hardware)? 2009
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) Yesterday

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
tried registry clean expert and clean out the fans, I have also changed the power setting on the DDR3 ram to 1.6 v. So far I have had less error messages and as yet no BSOD.

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Please visit Windows Updates...Important Updates and install Service Pack 1. Then get all updates after that.

Please note this error from your Event Viewer:

What RAM test did you run - and how many passes did it run?
If you didn't run MemTest 86+ for at least 3 passes, then please follow all the tests here:
H/W Diagnostics:
Please start by running these bootable hardware diagnostics:
Memory Diagnostics (read the details at the link)
HD Diagnostic (read the details at the link)

Also, please run one of these free, independent online malware scans to ensure that your current protection hasn't been compromised: Free Online AntiMalware Scanners (read the details at the link)
Please note the driver in RED listed below. It is a known cause of BSOD's and MUST be replaced with a more current version. Here's a link to the Asus download page: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Select your OS and the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Win7 32&64-bit" is the 15th item down in the Utilities section. Download and install it immediately.

OLDER DRIVERS PRESENT IN THE DUMP FILES
- Create a System Restore Point prior to doing any of this. DO NOT mess with the drivers themselves - leave the Windows\System32\drivers directory alone unless we specifically direct you to it!
- Please update these drivers from the device manufacturer's website - or uninstall them from your system. Reference links are included below.
- DO NOT use Windows Update or the Update Drivers function of Device Manager.
- Please feel free to post back about any drivers that you are having difficulty locating.
- Windows Update exceptions may be noted below for Windows drivers:

I would prefer that you run one of the bootable hard drive tests because of the difficulties that you're having.
Please zip up and upload the latest memory dumps. You'll find them in C:\Windows\Minidump

Did the MalwareBytes scan find anything? If it didn't, you might try this to see if Norton's at fault:
Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
- uninstall the Norton from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of Norton using this free tool: Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.

Don't forget to run the bootable hard drive test.

The dump files still point at a hardware problem - making the hard drive test even more important.

It won't hurt to try the hardware stripdown - and you may be able to find out what the problem is.

just looked in device manager and there are some things listed under portable devices with errors

I don't know what that is. Could be my Card reader I don't know for certain. It is from the UMbus Enumerator!??! It had lots of drives I uninstalled them and now I am going to restart and see what happens

If the bug check 0x00000109 happened AFTER you reset the BIOS to defaults, then I'd be concerned about a hardware problem on your system.

Uninstall anything with an error in Device Manager and then reboot.
Go back and check to see what's left (with errors) in Device Manager and let us know.
