Multiple BSODs after installing Windows 7 x64 onto new SSD

The legacy info you got is not correct - disregard that.

The RAM error is a concern...you need to test each stick individually-again 8 passes.

Well this is odd. After seemingly crashing on the first run, I tried again this morning and after the first pass the system restarted.

Any idea what could be going on?

So one of my sticks passed 8 times but the other one failed in every slot. Time for new RAM?

So I RMA'd my Ram and got two new sticks, ran MemTest and got 8 passes, everything seemed fine and then I got another BSOD. I've uploaded the DM Log Collector and SF Diagnostic Tool files - I'd be very grateful if you could take another look for me! My Computer had been slow to shut down so I made some registry changes and some services tweaks so they might have something to do with it? I made a note of what I changed in case something went wrong so hopefully that might help...

Best regards,

Luke

AVG is a common cause of BSOD's - uninstall it completely using this tool and replace wit with MSE.

Thanks again for your help Golden!

Might you have an idea why my PC takes a while to shut down? It's a very quick 'logging off' part and then the shutdown part takes about 30 seconds :/

Kind regards,

Luke

Do you still get a long logoff after replacing AVG with MSE, and then rebooting?

Nope. It has improved greatly.

You are a real wizard Golden, thanks again!

Are there any other programs you recommend or tips for keeping my PC in good working order?

Thanks for everything,

Windows 7 is pretty good at maintaining itself, and generally does not require 3rd party optimiser programs.....most of those actually do more harm than good.

Tips:
1. Keep Windows updated regularly
2. Keep the anti-virus updated, and perform regular scans
3. Make regular backups of your data - or use system imaging
4. Be careful of what you download and install

So this morning my PC seemingly blue screened as it was shutting down this morning - maybe that's the registry changes I made?
