Lately my computer crashes a few times a day. I also have a Dell Printer v515w Printer that was working fine up until about 2 months ago and now I have to turn the computer off and back on in order to get anything to print. I have attached the debug file from my computer. Computer stats are in my profile. I did download the Reviver Soft Registry Fix and ran it. It fixed over 2,000 registry errors. Thank you!

Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

The goal is to test all the RAM sticks and all the motherboard slots.

Check your motherboard manual to ensure the RAM sticks are in the recommended motherboard slots. Some motherboards have very specific slots required for the number of RAM sticks installed.

If you get errors, stop the test and continue with the next step.

1. Remove all but one stick of RAM from your computer (this will be RAM stick #1), and run Memtest86 again, for 7 passes.
*Be sure to note the RAM stick, use a piece of tape with a number, and note the motherboard slot.
If this stick passes the test then go to step #3.

2. If RAM stick #1 has errors, repeat the test with RAM stick #2 in the same motherboard slot.
*If RAM stick #2 passes, this indicates that RAM stick #1 may be bad. If you want to be absolutely sure, re-test RAM stick #1 in another known good slot.
*If RAM stick #2 has errors, this indicates another possible bad RAM stick, a possible motherboard slot failure or inadequate settings.
3. Test the next stick of RAM (stick #2) in the next motherboard slot.
*If this RAM stick has errors repeat step #2 using a known good stick if possible, or another stick.
*If this RAM stick has no errors and both sticks failed in slot#1, test RAM stick #1 in this slot.
4. If you find a stick that passes the test, test it in all the other motherboard slots.

If Part 2 testing shows errors, and all tests in Part 3 show errors, you will need to test the RAM sticks in another computer and/or test other RAM in your computer to identify the problem.

In this way, you can identify whether it is a bad stick of RAM, a bad motherboard, or incompatibility between the sticks.
   Information
Errors are sometimes found after 8 passes.

   Tip
Do this test overnight, before going to bed.

Still looking for more help! Computer crashes

I've scanned with Malwarebytes and SuperantiSPYware but I still can't get rid of this on my Chrome Browser:
Mysearchdial Search
and I can't find "mysearchdial" in my programs to uninstall it. How do I get rid of it?

Also, computer isn't giving me a BSOD, it just locks up and I can't do anything and I have to shut it down manually and restart by pressing the power button.

I have posted more crash files before this but no one has replied.

I removed Norton and only have Microsoft Essentials for protection but I am worried about viruses. Is there a virus protection software I can use?

Hi gaillynn1600.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

I would be gathering your install disks and saving what data files you can as a reinstall of Windows 7 may be in your future. There's no telling what that crapware "fixed".

You also said you couldn't finish the SFC? It must be "Run as Administrator" as indicated in the directions.

Ditto on the Memtest.

You also said you couldn't finish the SFC? It must be "Run as Administrator" as indicated in the directions.

Ditto on the Memtest.

I am the administrator - I am the only user and I received an error when I tried to run SFC - I posted it earlier in my posts. I have to go and buy a new stick so I can do the MemTest. I will do that tonight. I downloaded the software. This computer hasn't run right since I bought it - I should have gotten rid of it a long time ago. I just wanted to finish my taxes since all of my info is on this computer. Everything is backed up in the cloud though. Thanks for your help! Gail

ran the system update readiness tool and now the scandisk came back with no corrupt files. Tomorrow I will buy a new memory stick and run the memtest. QUESTION: SHOULD I UNINSTALL REGISTRY REVIVER? Someone on here called it "crapware"?

At first it is to determine whether the RAM is actually failing or not.

Till then, crash dump analysis will not reach any goal.

Error message after restart

I get the attached message on the screen after the computer starts after a reboot. I believe it is just looking for something in the CD drive but I'm not sure why.

It appears that you will not follow the steps suggested to you. In that situation, I have nothing more to do.
