For a long time, I've been suffering from BSODs. Just yesterday I had two, one while browsing the web, and another while playing Medieval II: Total War. Here is the analysis from WhoCrashed:

At first I thought installed Windows 7 wrongly (for some reason files were left over from my XP system, even though I had selected "Custom Install") and the local repair shop suggested reinstalling XP, then installing 7 again. They did so, and this time it was a clean install. The BSODs I was getting before were different however:

(Stupidly I didn't back up the crash dump files themselves, so I'm afraid I can't attach them.)

Also previously, Windows Memory Diagnostic was telling me that there were errors with my memory. Now it's saying otherwise.

I've got a few things left to try; I haven't yet updated my audio drivers, so that'll be my next step I suppose, and I've read suggestions such as updating my chipset drivers and testing my HDD.

Still, if anyone could offer any help, I'd be very appreciative.

My games have been crashing a lot (but not through BSODs), so I tried rolling my driver back to 195.62 . Started playing TF2, and got another BSOD, again with ntoskrnl.exe as the culprit.

It's probably the new drivers fault, but if anyone could help me with the general crashing i'd be much obliged. I've attached my DxDiag for reference.

If it isnt a Blue screen what kind of crash is it? Above it says the minidump is located in c:\windows\minidump. We need the actual DMP files.

Right, uninstalled Opera and installed the DirectX redist.

Played Team Fortress 2 and it crashed again, but since I haven't rebooted since installing the redist, perhaps that's why?

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000028, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000001, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80002c87c17, address which referenced memory

Wiith the two Crispy did and these two all having different causes I have to think it is hardware related. Use these to look at what to try and what it means. http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-2-int-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

Given that the games are crashing to the desktop, but the desktop itself and other programs such as Word and Firefox seem to be stable, would the Graphics card be the first component worth testing? Or could it still be anything?

GFX card is a big culprit in gaming BSODs. Still could be anything though.

Hmm, in that case I'll try that first.

I've had a look around, and there seem to be quite a lot of GFX card stress testers; are there any in particular which anyone could recommend?

Just a few questions. Which one do I download, is it free, and if not then is there a good free stress tester you could recommend?
