Multiple Driver/Device Problems

I believe the Unknown device is something to do with Blue Tooth? Which I don't use, so that's not a big deal.

But I just installed a new GPU, and I'm pretty sure the other two device/driver errors are related to that?

I have tried re-seating the GPU
I have tried using DDU to remove my old graphics drivers
I have tried updating the drivers for the problematic devices listed in the Device Manager
I have tried uninstalling the drivers for the problematic devices listed in the Device Manager
I have tried disabling the drivers for the problematic devices listed in the Device Manager


I have tried reinstalling older drivers for my motherboard and then the newer ones as well.

The only thing I haven't done is a clean install of Windows.

Some help would be immensely appreciated.

Hello Odiogn, welcome to the Forum.

Had you tried looking at the Device Status of each problem device? That will give you Error message / Error code and help pippoint what the actual problem is. Device Status is located in the General Tab of the Device Properties window.

his graphics card requires Windows 10. He should ask ZOTAC about that to confirm it.

Hello Odiogn, welcome to the Forum.

Had you tried looking at the Device Status of each problem device? That will give you Error message / Error code and help pippoint what the actual problem is. Device Status is located in the General Tab of the Device Properties window.

Yes it should be compatible with Windows 7. I do not know why wither2 has not noticed that. Perhaps he means that it would be difficult to run DirectX12 on a Windows 7 machine. If you are still unsure, then run dxdiag from the Start Menu, and click on the Display Tab, to see if there are any problems.

Thats quite clear! The statuses says that no device drivers are installed. Probably because you had uninstalled them earlier, am I correct? Usually a re-boot of the computer would be sufficient enough to get the device drivers re-installed. Otherwise, you may need to re-install them manually.

Already rebooted, many times. I also manually uninstalled the GPU drivers and manually reinstalled them. I did the same for all of my MB drivers as well.

Your screenshot from earlier shows a PCI device error plus a USB error. This usually means a chipset driver problem, as the chipset controls both. I recommend you re-install your motherboard chipset driver. Assuming your specs are correct, here is the link

If that does not solve the problem, when troubleshooting driver issues its good to start with the Hardware IDs of the devices in question. Here is how to find your hardware IDs:
How to identify an unknown device | Device Hunt

once you have that, you can just plug in those hardware IDs at the devicehunt home page, which will tell you the exact name of the troublesome device. The results page will also usually show you a link to a valid driver for that device.
Find unknown devices using a vendor and device ID. | Device Hunt

My apologies for missing the 10/7 in the specs. I did overlook it but was also kind of mislead by the fact it said it needed? Directx 12. I believer Directx 12 would be needed for certain functions such as ray tracing but since there's less than a handful of games which are written for that, it's probably not important.

I did install the chipset driver from the previous post.

I also uninstalled and reinstalled that USB 3 driver multiple times :\

If it's an error due to win7 not having the driver, I guess it's just something I'll have to tolerate until I get windows 10.

Interesting that the EVGA site indicates that there are 6 USB 3.0 ports and 6 USB 2 ports but doesn't mention USB 3-C.

Good catch. And their pic of the rear ports doesn't show a USB-C, and the user manual does not either.

Odiogn, can you do this?

start > run > cmd > wmic baseboard get product,Manufacturer |clip

that puts your motherbaord details into the clipboard, then paste the results in a reply to this post. Thanks
