multiple issues after clean install

Hello guys.

I was hoping you could give me a hand here. I was experiencing multiple stop 0x00124 errors on my system. I was told it could have been caused by an overclock. My apu is an a10 5800k with a base clock a nd turbo boost of 3.8 and 4.2ghz respectively.

I purchased an r9 280x last week and it installed flawlessly on my system. Performance was great for days before i started getting bsods. I did not want to risk it and decided to perform a clean install. Since then ive had nothing but troubles.

Had a hardtime making my motherboard recognized my flashdrive with windows 7 installation files. Got a message that my copy of windows was not genuine and had to call phone support, video output would sometimes not be detected. Etc etc... Then i finally managed to get a consistent run on the machine and decided to plug in my bavkup drive. To my surprise the computer wont boot with it plugged.

I checked bios and habilitated it again but im sure that should not have been the reason. I left to work and decided to work on the computer later that day. Come back amd fore it up. Now i dont get video signal but i do get sound. I unpligg my gpu and run off the onboard. NOW as soon as windows boots up i get a distorted screen and latdr it does take me to my desktop properly. Amd displays a message saying that drivers had to be reset. I did so and later put back my gpu now i dont have any video problems at all.

What could be happening? Its certainly overwhelming. This is also my work pc and the levels of stress are rising.
System specs:

amd a10 5800k
radeon r9 280x xfx
kingston hyper blue 2x 4gb sticks
gigabyte f2a85xx up4
Cooler master silent pro 850w
2 seagate hdds 500 and 1500 gb.
Amd video drivers are 11 beta 9.4
Amd chipset are 9.4
I did not install any drivers from the motherboard dvd this time.

Any help would be inmensly appreciated

I have started multiple hardware testing.

Starting with ram on memtest will do 3 passess on each ram sepparately then 2 passes on each DIMM slot to be sure, at the end I will test both ram sticks togheter on dual channel like they always are.

I still want to test the CPU, HDD, Motherboard GPU and PSU further, I will elaborate on the issues in detail as the above post was typed in a phone.

In order:

- When trying to boot from USB BIOS would not detect it. And would not launch OS from HDD either. Refreshing BIOS settings fixed the issue.
- OS successfully installed. As I can not find my ethernet cable, proceed to install my wireless drivers once my desktop is up. Reboot system to complete installation, greeted by a message ''This copy of windows is not genuine'' Call phone activation and issue was resolved after having to reinstall my OS.
- Proceed with installation of chipset drivers from AMD. No issues detected. Reboot performed
- Proceed with installation of video drivers from AMD. No issues. Reboot Performed
- Turn off computer and plug in second HDD which only contains data. Turn on system I either did not get video, or the computer was not able to load windows. Reboot performed Message saying that windows did not shut down properly. Boot into BIOS. abilitated second HDD. Boot into windows on safe mode to verify HDD in drive manager, Reeboot performed.
-Install scheduled updates. Reboot Performed
-System turns on, install audio drivers. Shut down for the rest of the day.
-Wake up, computer turns on, no video. Can hear the windows log on screen, Reboot performed
Message displayed 'Windows was unable to start, perform start repair/system rollback' managed to boot back into windows.
-Shut down computer, remove GPU in fear the GPU is causing issues. Boot computer with the APU graphics only through HDMI
-Computer shows motherboard logo and windows loading logo fine. Get to welcome screen and there is severe video distortion. Gets cleared up once i reach my desktop and see a message saying that drivers for video have failed, prompted to reset drivers. Do so and computer proceeds with installing drivers for the 7660D igpu on the APU. No video problems after. Shut down computer.
-Install GPU again, make sure everything is correctly plugged, boot into windows with no problem.

Hardware testing initiated.

Now.. i have a small belief that my USB with windows 7 was damaged or corrupted in some way? I had not used it for months as no reformatting had been required, is it possible that something went wrong with the windows installation?

What software can I use when testing my components individually?

First ram stick tested. no errors. second stick, as soon as i put it in and fire it up, i did not receive video signal at all, my monitor was flashing the power button as looking for a video source. restarted with the same ram stick, then got video. I am currently testing it.

second stick tested, no errors at all rebooted and got video immidiately. testing both sticks together now.

Stressed tested GPU in OCCT for an hour and 30 minutes, no errors
now testing CPU on base clock to verify if there are any issues.
