so i installed a program called Reaper, for those of you that dont know, its a multi tracking digital audio workstation. to record stuff
Anyways, when i first installed the program, everything worked fine. There was a plug in i was trying to use for recording guitar. I when into preferences and set a path to the folder where said plug in was located. it didn't work. i exited out of reaper to do some other stuff.
When you open reaper it scans the folders for vst's (virtual studio technology), but this time, it kept saying that i was missing a LOT of dll files. i tried uninstalling, reinstalling many times. Still get the same million errors. I tried sfc scannow, nothing came up as corrupt or missing, i tried to repair with windows start up and there was nothing. What did I do? thanks!
edit: also sorry if this is the wrong section for this type of issue. I figured it would be relocated anyways.
