Solved Multiple Select with Mouse Only

I have Logitech M570 mouse. It has the traditional left/right buttons. It also has scroll wheel that also depresses and two additional buttons that perform the L/R arrow window (upper left of explorer window) functions. When the keyboard CTRL key is pressed I can left-clik (i.e. select) multiple items. Is it possible to perform this function with just the mouse only? I would like to program one of the arrow buttons to do this. Once I figure out how to 'customize' this mouse what would be the key combo? Or is there a simpler way (e.g., if this was a generic 2-button only mouse)?

Have you downloaded & installed the Logitech M570 software from Logitech for that mouse. I also have an M570 mouse & the software does allow quite a range of optional preferences for settings.

By rights you should be able to select multiple items with just the left-mouse button if ClickLock is enabled. ClickLock works with selecting and highlighting text, and dragging and dropping with just left-mouse button. But I've tried ClickLock on highlighting multiple files, and it does not work. Mmmm, I think ClickLock should achieve what you are trying to do, really.

I found my solution :

Tools > Folder Options > View tab and check the box "Use check boxes to select items"
