I've been working on a picture/video movie for a recent trip I took. I have multiple songs that I've have on it but when I went to continue working on it today and it was going good until I went to play it and I had nothing, no pictures, no video and no music. It all shows up in the storyboard but when I go to play it I have nothing. I've tried adding new music and picture and videos thinking that maybe the previous ones were corrupt or somethign but that didnt work. Did I save it wrong or something?

Hello Caskett, Welcome to SF

This is common if you move the audio/video source files so movie maker doesnt know where to find them or if you try to play on a different machine without taking the files as well

When you create the movie i think by default it only saves a template of the movie you created not all the source files as well, its been a while since i used movie maker but had a similar problem and there was a option to embed the a/v sources into the template, you can check by looking at the size of the saved project, template only will be KB`s if other files are included it will be many MB`s depending on size of movie. Sorry to be vague its been so long since i used it

Yeah, everything has to be embedded. And if you added the music via the Inset tab > Sound, it is not going to work. You need to go to the Animation tab (see picture). But it will only accept .wav files that are very large. But there is a trick to embed .mp3 files (that are 10 times smaller) by fooling the header.
