Hi guys. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-bit. Running great for about a year now. But I recently noticed this. Pressing the mute key on the keyboard, or muting the system volume (from the volume icon in the system tray) has no effect at all. Whatever sound is being played (e.g. from WMP, Spotify, or even YouTube, no matter what sound it is), it just keeps on playing. It's really strange. Rather bizarre.
Additional Information: I'm using 3RVX, but its the same story without 3RVX as well. Any ideas on what's going on?!
A bit MORE additional information: The desktop background (wallpaper) slideshow is also not working on its own. The wallpaper is set to change after 30 minutes, but it isn't doing so. Somehow both these problems might be related.
I tried resetting my Windows 7 theme, didn't help at all. I'm using standard speakers with a 3.5mm jack.
Thanks in advance !
