Solved My 3 drives are listed as primary

Also the 2 aren't aCTIVE but is says their the boot drive. I cannot click on my computer, my documents, videos, so I can't get into my program filers or windows directory.

I tried the set the 2 to logical but the option isn't there to set.

I'm on my laptop now cause I can't get to my disk management page. I just tried safe mode and it froze on the desktop

There is no harm having 3 primary partitions on a drive, you are allowed up to four but only one can be marked as active at any one time. Does the pc boot, if not try this for starters - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html
Have these problems only started since you tried to change the partition types. You could use partition wizards bootable cd to get an overview of your disks - Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to boot computer directly to manage partition.

I did all that and repair tell me it can't fix it. My usb drives don
t show either when I click on my computer in safe mode, I can only get to my computer through safe mode when the pc boots and I try to click on mt computer, mail, my documents, pictures, etc, only the folder comes up on the task bar and that's it.

If so, boot the Win7 DVD Repair console or Repair CD to run Startup Repair a few times and post back the results.

Also install, update and run a full scan with Malwarebytes in Safe Mode with Networking. If this fails, boot MS Standalone System Sweeper from CD or flash stick to scan the system for infection. Then boot into DVD/Repair CD again to run Startup Repair.

Next unplug all other HD's, plug Win7 HD into Disk0 slot on mobo, set it first to boot in BIOS setup, then boot into DVD/Repair CD to run Startup Repair repeatedly. Make sure C remains Active.

I did that and it says it can't fix it do I want to report to microsoft. This all happened when I was trying to add free space from my main drives partition, somehow it made that space the boot and made it active and I had to figure out how to get my c drive back as the active boot drive. Everything worked fine until I reboot the next day and tried to click on my computer, then those folders will not open.

Also I just noticed, on t hat screen of my disk maangement, my main drive used to be lised as the 0 drive now I see it says 1

Use free Partition Wizard bootable CD to make these kind of changes, Using PW CD you can also sometimes repair damaged MBR by clicking on the HD and from Disk tab select Rebuild MBR, too, which is why I mention this now to give you every option.

However you already have C set as System Active so it should boot if that HD is set first to boot, unless infected or in need of Repair.

Run Malwarebytes in Safe Mode or Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper from CD or flash stick.

You may need to run Startup Repair more than once so it can automate System Restore,and SFC, Then I would also try running them separately from the disk's tools list. SFC -SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot

I have to go now so someone else will help you get these done and answer your questions and if necessary we can continue tomorrow when we have your results reported back fully.

I raN the malwarebytes and nothuing cam eup. I can't use anything using the usb and I'll have to figure which plug is the 0n one. Why would that change when I didn't mess with any plugs?

Also should all 3 of my drives be listed as MBR or should t hey be GPT and only C drive as MBR?

I didn't read it, I probably wouldn't understand most of it. Is this why my folders aren't opening? I may have to do a clean install but I hope not.

I'm not having a problem of booting, it's the my computer, my documents, pictures, videos, those folders will not open only the folder lays in the taskbar and that's it, nothing opens.

Try opening those subfolders through your User folder in Explorer instead of from the desktop which may have dead links. If you still cannot access these folders then browse in through the DVD or Repair CD to try to rescue the files using this method: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

Are the data folders on a different partition or HD?

If you can run Win7 then try running SFC -SCANNOW Command from the desktop and post back a screenshot of results.

Do you have a Win7 installer so you can run a Repair Install?

I did post the cbs.log from running the sfc scan, it couldn't fix anything. I did the repair from the win 7 dvd and it couldn't fix anything.

Now to make a long story short, I was able to get everything working again but not sure what I did. I ran that windows stand alone scan and it found like 4 java exploits and I removed them. I had to run it in safe mode cause nothing would run or open in the regular mode. I rebooted and tried the folders and they open now.

Ally my files are in the folders there supposed to be in. I did however, have those little locks on my pictures and I did a search for that and was able to fix those.

What is the 7 installer, I'm assuming your referring to th e win 7 insall dvd?

Yes, needed for a Repair Install.

It seems you removed infection which was blocking your files. Run the Standalone scanner again from boot making sure it connects to update, then run Malwarebytes from the desktop.

I would change my AV to MS Security Essentials or Avast 6 and run a Malwarebytes scan once per month or subscribe to get the real time protection and autoscan.

I realize you ran SFC from Command Line but it was dysfunctional due to the infection which needed to be cleaned up frist, so I would also run SFC from desktop again to see if there are damaged System Files which it cannot repair after several attempts. Then you may still need the Repair Install.

Do all of this to know that you are clean and in good repair and report back.
