My 500gb C Drive is only allowing 143gb to be used.

I have gone ahead and did the clean all. However I still have the same issue.

I can only think of this procedure as a last resort in trying to restore the full capacity of the HDD - running Atola's HDD Capacity Restore Tool.

You have to take out your HDD from the laptop, hook it up as a secondary drive on a desktop running 32 bit Windows - repeat 32 bit Windows ( will not work with 64bit Windows) and run the tool.

When you run the tool, it will show you the reported capacity, and the factory capacity. In your case if the reported capacity is 148.93GB and the Factory capacity is 465GB or around, then just click on the " Restore Capacity" tab.

It is recommended that you " re-power your computer before running this tool. That means, completely power off your computer; then power on, start Windows and run the tool."

After the program finishes working (3—20 seconds), you will need to power off your PC, then wait 10—20 seconds and then power on.

Warning by the author, Atola Technology : Warning: you are doing this at your own risk!

Your last post said " How to recover data?" Please note that we are not recovering any data. We are only restoring the HDD's full capacity.

EDIT: You can also see my post here http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware...ly-371-gb-un-allocated-space.html#post2476878 and subsequent posts where BigFatBoy used HDAT2 for the same purpose. I only led him to HDAT2 by giving the references and he did the rest successfully.. So don't ask me to lead you by hand step by step. :D
