My computer is not recognizing me as the administrator

Im just trying to change my stupid User pic and it tells me that an adminstrator has to do it...I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Help please muchly appreciated.
