My computer reads missing operating system... I tried repairing with operating system disc, but I'm stuck ! Help

Why don't you just do what I asked you to do? I just wanna know if volume C or D is activeI can reach the system recovery options, but nothing shows up in the box where it says use recovery tools that can help fix problems starting windows. There is another option which says restore computer using a system image that you created earlier.... When I click this option it says windows cannot find a system image.
