The next time it opens, make sure it is maximized. Then take your mouse and stretch the sides until it is the size you want it. Next time you click it, it should open to the size you made it.

If you click on the desktop icon/shortcut named Computer (or the Start menu link named Computer) and Windows (file) Explorer opens in minimized view, then there is no Windows (file) Explorer window showing. It would be minimized to the Taskbar. Is that what you are seeing?

If you are seeing a Windows (file) Explorer window, but it is not maximized, then maybe we can call that the "windowed view". I don't know what the correct term for that window state.

I'm not picking at your choice of words/terms in your post. I'm just attempting to understand what you are really seeing. All that I have to go by are your words. If you would like to include a screenshot, please use these steps: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html

I think that AddRAM was attempting to ask you to open the Windows (file) Explorer window, click on the Maximize button and then exit the Windows (file) Explorer window. Windows is supposed to remember the last state (size) of the window when it was closed. If that is not happening for you, we can try to help fix that.
