Morning,

Anyone who has had input on my other recent threads regarding random crashing will know the hell I have been going through.

I've now followed some advice to do yet another reinstall. I had probably done 3 or 4 before I joined this forum and I was loathed to do another. Anywhere, I did and formatted the drive using DISKPART and...

It states my product key is not valid. This is a Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade key I am talking about.

Question is now what? I've re-entered it twice just to make sure characters were not wrong!

Just what I found on there somewhere. Can't find it now but I created my own batch file rather than downloading.

Text editor:
REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\OOBE /V MediaBootInstall /T REG_DWORD /D 0 /F

slmgr /rearm

Save as .bat file to Desktop and run as Administrator via Right Click.

Found it!

Option 3 here:-

Note that this May not have solved my overall problem which is random crashing. I have now performed clean install for 4/5 time but this time ensured 100Mb System Reserved partition was not created. But take note you may need that partition if you want to use BitLocker!
