My games won't save on steam

Well at least you have a place to start over being totally in the dark. Funny how a clean install of every game still saw a registry glitch. But that's part of dealing with software problems at times. Fun city!

I know I was sooo confused but I figure it had to be something since all those other steps didn't work. I didn't even think this would work but it did can play all the dawn of war 2s and all company of heroes and terraria, haven't tried bios hock yet since I'm now playing the others will soon tho. I'll let you know how it goes. I also will be posting on other forums to help others out maybe they are having the same problem

Isn't that something eh? Funny how you even reinstalled the games from scratch and still got nowhere. The MS tool likely found some other error in there you wouldn't have known about.

At least you got everything running normally again. That's the good news of the day!

I've had some problems with a few Steam mods lately as far as loading new saves however. The old saves backed up to a separate drive before the latest clean install of 7 and everything still seem to load reliably as always.

There I suspect the MS tool fixed a bit more then just entries for the games in the registry but something else since too many game titles got caught up in it. At least you are back in business now however.
