My Laptop freezes while loading a website.

I think I'd try uninstalling Audacity (might have experienced a corrupt installation process.) Revo Uninstaller does a better job of removing left-over files than the built in 7 uninstall process. Use Revo in advanced mode.

I used it a couple of times. I just remembered that I installed (by usb) my Numark turntable so I could convert my vinyl to mp3s. After Audacity stopped working, I used Roxio's LP and cassette audio converter. Haven't had a problem with that at all.

Make a system restore point. If it works great, if does not work dump it with the system restore.

Nope, still freezes. Did the system restore so I'm back to before I installed it. I don't have much time left, but what would be the next option?

Well, the older version of Audacity works fine. But my computer still freezes when I load that Wikipedia video.

I am still working on it, but reinstall is a possiblity. Are you sure that all of audacity is deleted?

As far as I know it's all deleted. I used Revo Uninstaller at it's most thorough setting.

Im at a a loss, dont really know what is causing the freezing.

Check hard drive and memory. That can be a cause
Download memtest86 and test RAM

Sorry, I've been busy as of lately

I'm going to do the memory test soon and see if any errors show. If nothing, I will just reinstall Windows 7 and see what happens next, unless you have any other suggestions. Thanks for the memtest link.

The memtest is still running.

After 9 passes, the memtest is still running. According to the instructions, if it passes 7 times, I should stop it. Should I let it continue? So far, there are no errors.
