my laptop is not getting internet access.

I got a new laptop recently, and when going to "Wireless Network Connections," I find my at&t router on the list. I press connect and it connects to it, but there is a yield sign on the icon, and it tells me that there's no internet access. How can I fix this?

Give us a list of the security settings and encryption your router uses. I've attached a picture of mine. The passphrase has been blocked out for obvious reasons.

Best thing would be to tell us the brand and model of both your router and your laptop. Wireless security can use a number of different methods.

Also, some wireless network controllers insist on using their own setup wizard and not the built-in Windows one. If you tell us what exact laptop you have we can figure it out.
