My microphone doesnt work

Hello!
I got a creative fatal1ty headset.
and my microphone doesnt work all the suddenly.
my sound works perfect, but when i try to 'tape' my own voice, i get no sound at all from my mic.

anyone who can help me?

1. Did you try with another mic?
2. You're sure that it's working propertly?
3. Go to Control Panel->Sound and check for this. Maybe the volume is muted.
