Does the monitor work when the system first boots up (before it goes into Windows)?
Does the monitor work in Safe Mode (rapidly tap F8 just before the Windows splash screen shows up)?

If it doesn't work in either, take it in to the shop for warranty repair.
Check to make sure both video cards are properly seated and that any connecting cables are in place.

Thanks for the reply!!

no it doesnt work, it doesnt show the window screen, i cant see anything, not even to press F8, its just dull black from the very momment i click on the power button my computer. Its just dull black with the word "DVI" on the top right corner, i think the monitor still works becuase the screen isnt pitch black, as if the monitor is off, its light black like when you dont use your computer for a while and it turns black and you move your mouse around (if you could understand what im trying to say :sarc:) but i could click on the menu button on my monitor and it comes up, i could switch sources, lower the volume, i could even switch the channels and the grey screen appears (when you have no cable signal). The graphic card seems to be nice and tight and firm considering i never touched it. The screen just stays doesnt display my desktop, it was so random becuase at one minute it was working fine while i was chatting and playing with my friends and the next second it turned black, as far as the connection cables i only have 2, which is the signal cable going from my computer to my desktop, and the power cable for my monitor.. and i made sure both is in nice and tight, ive seened article that says to dust the inside of your computer and i did, it still doesnt work.. Im gonna try to place my monitor on another computer to see if it works, i hope it doesnt becuase i much rather perfer to have a problem with the monitor other then my desktop. thanks for the comment

It sounds like the monitor is fine - since it's able to do it's internal stuff without problems.
So it's either in the cable (which you can test by hooking to to another computer), the video card(s), or the motherboard.

If the monitor works OK when it's on another computer - then take the computer to a service center for fixing. You don't want to mess around with this only to find out your warranty has expired.

ugh my computer is extremely big for me to bring it into a repair center, i dont think its the cable becuase when i disconnect it from my computer my Monitor signals and tells me that there no signal cable, if it was busted would it even detect it? whats a good place for me to bring in my computer and repair it?

It's probably not the cable - but hooking it up to another computer would make it certain.

As for where to bring it - where do you live? In the USA I suggest taking it to a warranty repair center - which is most likely the place that you bought it from (call them before you drag it all the way in to their shop).

If not there, then try calling Alienware directly - and asking them where to take it.

yeah i live in the U.S.A i ordered my computer online from alienware, hopefully the warrenty hasnt expired and i cant test things out becuase everyone in here uses a different Signal cable since their computer is inferior to mines, they all use different cable and we all agreed that the monitor is working fine, it must be my computer, but it seems to be working fine, it sounds the same when i turn it on and my graphic cards get extremely hot like always.. gonna have to go repair it,
