Solved My MSN home page gone

Last night I and noticed MS made a change to the home page again. Gone is the "friendly" look of the original page. Internet Options still shows "http//my.msn.com/". but it's a totally different 'mish-mash' of articles. Guess we're stuck with this last creation - or change to another home page.

Mymsn.com was showing a popup banner saying mymsn was going to be killed off and to check out msn.com
Thought it said by 9/31/14 was when mymsn was going to be killed but who knows ?

Hi ThrashZone, "googled" home pages and decided on this one "BestHomePageEver". Check it out, if you haven't. It's clean and easily seems to access what I want. No more changes from MS!

I think the best homepage ever is the one you create yourself with exactly what you want in it :p

I use a local HTML file I created. Open the file in your browser and set current page as home page. If you want an example let me know. Not necessary to know HTML, just look at the existing links and change/delete/copy lines.

If you are making a custom homepage it can be worth making a google custom search of the sites you search the most and adding it to the page, as google produces better results that forum searches I have loads of custom search engines pinned in my bookmarks bar of all my most searched sites.

You can right-click the html file and use Open With or Send To - Notepad (if you've added Notepad to send to)
Normally I use Notepad++ but it sometimes locks the file. I think Notepad is fine for smaller and more simple files.

The custom search is a nice thing. There's also a manual way if you don't mind typing some extra chars, example Google search:
